Venkat Raman Water Quality Assessment on Contamination Stage Mapping , Dindigul , Tamilnadu

The study carried out through collected data of Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation on on-line source. Block level village wise water quality analysis which has given in the ministry website is downloaded and utilized to view the water quality state in the area. Location map of the study area and contaminant map of iron, hardness and TDS also has been generated by using GIS software for the further description. The study clearly expressed the needs of water quality studies and its moderate methods, in the villages Adiyanuthu and Tottanuthu have to be look focused. In other places in Dindigul block have not reported with contamination of these disciples, but only in the places of Adiyanuthu and Tottanuthu. Through the GIS study, mapping technology to spatial view of the study area, it is enabled an easy view of understanding. Lithology of the study area is enriched with Ca, Mg, Na, K, Al, Fe and etc which are able to support to increase the hardness of water. This could have the prime relation for the contamination.
